Presentation

General information about the degree

This course teaches you how to build web applications, from the ones people use in their browser to the ones that run on a server. When you finish, you will be able to develop, launch and maintain websites and applications, making sure they are secure, easy to use and accessible. At Institut Montilivi in Girona, part of the course takes place in companies, either in a general format or in an intensive one that depends on the offers from companies and on your results.

You will learn to program both on the client side and on the server side, to design and manage databases, and to create interfaces using markup languages. You will also see how to deploy applications and document them. Afterwards you could work as a web programmer, a multimedia programmer or a developer of applications for intranets, extranets and the internet, in public or private companies, or as a freelancer. If you want to keep studying, you can take specialisations in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence or video game development, or move on to a university degree.

If you enjoy solving problems with code and seeing your work running on a screen, this course could be a good fit.
