Presentation
General information about the degree
This intermediate vocational course teaches you how to install, set up and maintain computer equipment and networks, both at home and in companies. By the end you will know how to give technical support to users and find and fix faults in a computer or a network in a practical way. Part of the training takes place in companies in the sector, so you can apply what you learn in a real working environment.
You will study equipment assembly and maintenance, operating systems, local networks, computer security and network services, as well as web applications and professional English. Afterwards you could work as an IT support technician, an equipment installer and repairer, a data network technician or a systems operator. You can also go on to a higher-level IT course, such as ASIX, DAM or DAW.
This course suits you if you enjoy taking a computer apart, understanding how devices connect and helping someone when something stops working.
