Physiotherapy

What do you study in Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is the discipline that studies how to assess, prevent and treat injuries, pain and movement problems through physical, manual and therapeutic techniques. It is not simply about “getting someone fit”: it is a science that combines anatomy, biomechanics and clinical skills to help people regain their quality of life.

  • Anatomy and physiology applied to human movement
  • Manual techniques: massage therapy, joint mobilisation and manipulation
  • Electrotherapy, ultrasound and other therapeutic technologies
  • Sports, neurological, respiratory and paediatric physiotherapy
  • Real clinical placements from the first years of study

You will be able to work in hospitals, private clinics, elite sports teams and rehabilitation centres, or set up your own practice.
