General information about the degree

This Higher Vocational Training cycle prepares you to plan, organise and evaluate social integration interventions. You will learn to support people and families in disadvantaged situations, to create safe environments and to always respect each person's privacy. It is taught on site at the Tartanga campus, in Altzaga, and you can study it in Spanish or in Basque.

Over the two years you will study subjects such as the context of social intervention, community mediation, care for household units and first aid. You will also work on social and occupational integration and on alternative communication systems. Once you finish, you could work as an educator in residential centres or with people with disabilities, as a community or intercultural mediator, or as a technician in social inclusion and prevention programmes.

This suits someone who enjoys listening, helping others and finding solutions together with other people. If you want to keep studying later, you can take a vocational specialisation course or a university degree in the social field, with the possibility of having some modules recognised.
