General information about the degree

This higher-level vocational training course prepares you to support people who need help to live more independently and to take part fully in society. You will learn to design and carry out social integration projects, always respecting each person's dignity and privacy. When you finish, you will be able to plan, coordinate and assess interventions with quality standards. It is taught on site in Irun, in Spanish and in Basque.

During the course you will work on areas such as psychosocial support, help with household management, community mediation and social and work integration, as well as first aid and augmentative and alternative communication systems. With this qualification you could work as an educator for people with disabilities, a technician in social prevention and integration programmes, a community or intercultural mediator, or a work integration technician, in residential centres, day centres, social services and third-sector organisations.

It suits someone who enjoys listening to others, has patience and wants people to feel supported in their everyday lives.
