General information about the degree

The Higher Technician in Social Integration is a Vocational Training course that prepares you to support people who need help to move forward in their lives. You will learn to plan, organise and evaluate social interventions, always treating the people you work with respectfully and promoting equal opportunities. When you finish, you will know how to create safe environments for the people you support and for yourself.

During the course you will study the context of social intervention, social and work integration, community mediation and support for family units. You will also learn first aid and do placements in workplaces. Afterwards you could work as a technician in social prevention and integration programmes, an educator for people with disabilities, an intercultural mediator or a family support worker, among other options.

Empathy, patience and a willingness to work in a team are very useful on this path, especially if you enjoy helping each person move forward at their own pace.
