General information about the degree
The Technician in Microcomputer Systems and Networks is a medium-level Vocational Training course. It teaches you to install, set up and maintain computers, peripherals and local networks, whether they work on their own or connected together. When you finish, you will know how to get a device ready to work safely and reliably.
During the course you will work on building and maintaining equipment, operating systems, office and web applications, local networks, computer security and network services. You will also learn to find faults and recover data when something breaks. With this title you could work as an IT support technician, a data network technician, an installer and repair technician for computer equipment, or as a systems operator, mainly in IT service companies and in organisations that rely on networks every day.
It suits you if you enjoy taking apart, building and fixing devices, and if you like solving problems step by step with a computer.
