Machining · Egibide

Presentation
General information about the degree
With this intermediate-level Vocational Training cycle, you will learn to make metal parts using machine tools. You will start from technical drawings, manufacturing standards and catalogues to decide how each part should be machined. By the end, you will know how to set up the machine, run it and check that the result meets the required measurements.
Over the two years you will work with lathes, milling machines and computer numerical control machines, which are programmed with code. You will also study metrology for precise measuring, technical drawing, processes such as electrical discharge machining and cutting, automated systems and industrial robots. Afterwards you could work as a turner, miller, machine tool operator, fitter or industrial robot operator in factories that make machinery, electrical equipment or transport parts. You can also continue with another cycle, at intermediate or higher level, or go on to the Bachillerato.
