This course teaches you how to prepare the technical documents for a building before it is built. You will learn to make plans, reports and budgets, and to organise the paperwork of a building site so that everything follows the regulations, with quality, safety and respect for the environment. When you finish, you will be ready to work on the design and management of building projects.

Among other things, you will study drawing plans in 2D and 3D with computer programmes, preparing measurements and budgets, the installations in buildings such as plumbing, electricity and air conditioning, and construction planning. You could work as a draughtsperson for projects or installations, a construction model maker, a setting-out specialist or a document control technician, in architecture and engineering studios, construction companies, property developers or public administrations. You can also specialise in the energy efficiency of buildings.

You will enjoy seeing ideas become real buildings if you like drawing, using the computer and working with numbers.
