Welding and Boilermaking · Egibide

Presentation
General information about the degree
This medium-level Vocational Training course prepares you to make, assemble and repair metal parts such as sheets, profiles, pipes and structures. Once you finish, you will be able to work as a welding and boilermaking technician in workshops and factories that make these products. You study in person at Egibide, in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
You will learn to read manufacturing drawings, to cut and shape sheet metal and pipe, and to weld using different techniques, such as oxyacetylene, arc and resistance welding. You will also check that parts meet the required measurements and strength. The course covers risk prevention and care for the environment. Afterwards you could work as a welder, flame cutter, sheet metal worker, boilermaker, structural metal assembler, metal joiner or industrial pipefitter. During the course you also do work placements in companies.
This suits people who enjoy working with their hands, with machines and in the workshop, and who pay attention to detail so that every piece turns out well.
