Welding and Boilermaking · Don Bosco

Presentation
General information about the degree
This course teaches you how to make, assemble and repair metal parts and structures, such as tanks, pipes, and frames for buildings and ships. By the end you will know how to read technical drawings, cut and shape metal sheets and tubes, and join them by welding. It is taught in person at the Errenteria centre.
You will learn drawing interpretation, marking, cutting and forming metal, machining, welding in both open-air and shielded-gas conditions, assembly, and metrology with testing. Afterwards you could work as a welder, oxy-cutter, sheet metal worker or boilermaker, metal structure fitter, metal carpenter or industrial pipe fitter, in metal construction, shipbuilding or vehicle manufacturing. You can also continue with another vocational cycle or with specialisation courses.
If you enjoy working with your hands, with metal and with machines, and want to see how a structure is built from the drawing to the final assembly, those are good reasons to choose it.
