General information about the degree

This course prepares you to plan and control the manufacturing of parts and capital goods through machining and assembly. You will decide the order of work, the materials needed and how to meet deadlines, while making sure the quality is right. Once you finish, you will be a higher technician able to organise production in a factory, and the title also allows you to apply for university.

You will study how to read technical drawings, how to define machining and assembly processes, how to program numerical control machines with CAM tools, and how to manage production and supplies. You will also learn about quality and workplace risk prevention. You could work as a CNC programmer, production planner, mechanical technician or supervisor of machine operators in workshops and industries that make machinery, electrical equipment and transport materials.

This may suit you if you like machines, reading plans and organising a team's work so that everything is ready on time.
