General information about the degree

This higher-level vocational course teaches you how to plan, programme and control the manufacture of mechanical parts and equipment, from machining through to assembly. It is taught on site at the CIFP Mendizabala in Vitoria-Gasteiz and includes a period of training in companies. By the end you will know how a product should be made and how to organise the work so it is delivered on time and to a good standard.

You will learn to read technical drawings, define machining and assembly processes, programme CNC machines and do it on computer (CAM), and work with automatic systems such as robots and PLCs. You will also cover quality management, occupational risk prevention and production planning, plus professional English. Afterwards you could work as a production planning technician, a CNC or automated systems programmer, a quality control technician, or a supervisor leading a manufacturing team.

This course suits someone who enjoys machines and computers and likes putting tasks in order step by step so that everything runs smoothly.
