General information about the degree

This higher vocational training cycle prepares you to plan, program and control the manufacture of parts by machining and the assembly of capital goods, meaning the machines that other companies then use. You will start from process documents and product specifications. When you finish, you will know how to organise production in a metal workshop and make sure the work comes out with good quality and in a safe way.

Over the two years you will study technical drawing, the definition of machining and assembly processes, programming of computer numerical control machines and computer-aided manufacturing. You will also cover quality management, occupational risk prevention and sustainability. Afterwards you could work as a CNC programmer, production planner, mechanical technician, or as a supervisor of machine operators and assemblers in the metalworking and machinery industries.

This suits you if you enjoy solving problems with computers, working with machines and organising a team, and if you like seeing how a piece becomes a finished product. The cycle can be taken with dual training and also in Basque.
