Pattern Making and Fashion · Barakaldo

Presentation
General information about the degree
This Higher Level course teaches you to make patterns, the paper or digital templates used to cut every garment, and to organise how clothes are manufactured in a factory. By the end, you will be able to turn a design into patterns ready for production and lead the process, from the first prototype to a complete collection. You can study it on site or in the dual format, combining classes with real work in a company in the sector.
Over the two years you will work on industrial pattern making, sewing techniques, quality management and risk prevention, and production planning. From the first year you will carry out design projects and a collection that is presented in fashion shows. Afterwards you could work as a pattern maker or grader, a technical designer using CAD/CAM software, a garment quality control technician, or a production manager in textile and leather manufacturing companies.
If you enjoy drawing, measuring precisely and seeing an idea become a garment, and you like solving practical challenges as a team, this course will ask exactly that of you.
