Motor Vehicle Electromechanics · Emilio Campuzano

Presentation
General information about the degree
This course teaches you how to repair and maintain cars, motorbikes and heavy vehicles. You will learn to check the mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical parts, following rules on quality, safety and care for the environment. When you finish, you will know how to find a fault and fix it using the methods the manufacturers recommend.
During the course you will study the engine and its auxiliary systems, the fluid circuits with suspension and steering, the transmission and brakes, and the charging, starting and electrical circuits of the vehicle. With this qualification you can work as a car mechanic or car electrician, a brake and suspension repairer, an MOT inspection operator or a vehicle accessories fitter. There are also jobs in vehicle rental companies and in selling spare parts.
This is for you if you enjoy working with your hands and understanding how a machine works. Placements in companies are part of the course, and if you want to keep studying afterwards, there is a specialisation course in hybrid and electric vehicles.
