Motor Vehicle Electromechanics · Egibide

Presentation
General information about the degree
This medium-level Vocational Training programme teaches you how to check, repair and tune cars and other vehicles. You will learn car mechanics, electricity, electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics, and by the end you will be able to find faults and repair them using the methods set by manufacturers. It is taught in the morning, on site, and you can follow it in Spanish or Basque.
During the course you will study engines and their auxiliary systems, charging and starting circuits, brakes, transmission, steering and suspension, as well as safety and comfort systems. There is also professional English, and digital and sustainability skills applied to work, plus a period of work placement in companies. Afterwards you could work as a car mechanic or car electrician, an electromechanic for motorcycles, an MOT inspection operator, or a sales assistant selling spare parts and diagnostic equipment. If you want to keep studying, you can take a higher-level programme or a specialisation in hybrid and electric vehicles.
It often suits someone who enjoys working with their hands, is curious about how engines work and likes solving faults step by step.
