General information about the degree

This course teaches you how to make the machines in a factory work automatically. You will learn to design, install, commission and maintain the systems that measure, regulate and control industrial processes, always keeping safety and quality in mind. By the end you will know how to run an automation project from start to finish. It is taught on site, in Spanish and in Basque, and includes a period of training in real companies.

During the course you will study electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and the programmable controllers that run the machines. You will also cover industrial robotics, the communication networks that connect equipment, and drawing up technical plans with computer design tools. Afterwards you could work as an industrial robot programmer, a commissioning technician, a maintenance technician or a control systems designer in industry.

If you want to know how a machine works on the inside and enjoy combining hands-on work with the computer, this course could be a good path for you.
