General information about the degree

This course teaches you how to fit and maintain the systems that provide heating and hot water in homes, buildings and factories. Once you finish, you will know how to install boilers, solar thermal systems and water and gas networks, always following the rules and safety standards.

During the course you will work with pipes, heat exchangers, expansion vessels and pumps, as well as the wiring and control systems that make everything run. You will learn to take measurements, carry out tests, commission an installation and write the technical paperwork. Afterwards you could work as an installer or maintenance technician for heating equipment, domestic hot water, solar thermal systems or gas installations.
