Presentation
General information about the degree
This higher-level vocational course prepares you to design, calculate and supervise electrical installations and automated systems. It is taught on site at the Francesc Xavier Lluch i Rafecas institute in Vilanova i la Geltrú, with classes in Catalan and Spanish. When you finish, you will be able to plan how an installation is assembled, put it into service and check that it works safely.
Over the two years you will study, among other things, electrical systems and circuits, electrical installation techniques, home and building automation, and the technical documentation that goes with every project. A large part of the course is spent in companies, through work placements. Afterwards you could work as a technician in electrical projects, a designer of low-voltage installations for homes and buildings, a supervisor of automated systems, or a site foreman on electrical works.
It suits someone who enjoys solving practical problems, likes electricity and technology, and wants to see their projects become reality.
