General information about the degree

This intermediate vocational training cycle prepares you to become a Technician in Electrical and Automated Installations. You will learn to install and maintain the electrical systems in homes, buildings and factories, as well as electrical machines and automated systems. Once you finish, you will know how to assemble and check installations safely, with care for quality and the environment.

During the course you will study industrial automation, electrical engineering, indoor electrical installations, home automation, solar photovoltaic energy and electrical machines. You will also do work placements in companies, so you can see what the job is really like. With this qualification you can work as an installer-maintenance electrician, an industrial or maintenance electrician, an installer of home automation or solar panel systems, or an antenna and telecommunications installer in buildings.

If you enjoy working with your hands, solving problems and understanding how things work, this course may suit you. When you finish, you can continue with another vocational cycle or with specialisation courses in 5G networks or the Internet of Things.
