General information about the degree
This medium-level Vocational Training cycle prepares you to install and maintain the electrical systems of buildings, factories and machines. When you finish, you will get the title of Technician in Electrical and Automated Installations, which lets you assemble and check low-voltage installations, electrical machines and automated systems. You will also receive a certificate in occupational risk prevention.
You will study industrial automation, electrotechnics, indoor electrical installations, home automation and solar photovoltaic installations. Part of your training takes place in companies, where you put what you have learned into practice. You could work as an industrial electrician, installer-maintenance technician, construction electrician or solar panel installer, mostly in small and medium-sized companies.
If you enjoy working with your hands and understanding how machines work, this cycle may suit you. Afterwards you can continue with specialisation courses in 5G networks or the Internet of Things, or with another vocational training cycle.
